How the new Playoff Pickem Works
- Each round will have it's own picks page.
- Each matchup will start with 2, 3 or 4 games, depending on the minimum games for that round.
- If/when a series goes beyond the minimum number of games, we'll add games to the same picks sheet.
- Once each team in a series matchup wins 1 game, we'll add an additional game 3 (or 4 or 5) to the picks page.
- If/when each team wins 2 games, we'll add game 5 (or 6) to the picks page.
- If/when each team wins 3 games, we'll add game 7 to the picks page.
- Winning teams from each round will be put into the next round.

Introduced in 2022, the new playoff format is 4 rounds. There will be 12 total playoff teams, 6 AL and 6 NL. Round 1 is the "Wild Card" round and is a best of 3 series. All round 1 games will be played in the higher seed's city. The top 2 teams from each league will not play in round 1. They each have byes through to round 2. Round 2 is the "Divisional" round and is a best of 5 series (2-2-1). Round 3 is the "League Championship" round, which is a best of 7 series (2-3-2). Round 4 is the "World Series" and is a best of 7 series (2-3-2).

Straight Pick em
» 1 point for each correct pick
» 1 point for each correct pick
Straight Pick 'em - Losses count negative
» 1 point for each correct pick
» -1 point for each incorrect pick
» 1 point for each correct pick
» -1 point for each incorrect pick
Progressive Pick 'Em
Add a point for every successive round
» 1 point for each correct pick in Round 1
» 2 points for each correct pick in Round 2
» 3 points for each correct pick in the next Round, etc..
» 1 point for each correct pick in Round 1
» 2 points for each correct pick in Round 2
» 3 points for each correct pick in the next Round, etc..
Extreme Progressive Pick 'Em
Double points for every successive round
» 1 point for each correct pick in Round 1
» 2 points for each correct pick in Round 2
» 4 points for each correct pick in the next Round, etc..
» 1 point for each correct pick in Round 1
» 2 points for each correct pick in Round 2
» 4 points for each correct pick in the next Round, etc..
Object of the Game
The object of the game is to get the most points.
In an MLB playoff pick em pool, (a.k.a. a World Series pick em pool), players get to pick each game all the way through the World Series, which is different from a bracket-style pool. In bracket-style pools, players would pick the outcome of each series, not each game. And they would have to predict all the series outcomes before the start of the first wild-card game.
